DESCRYING BANAI
G Summon Apes 0/1
While Descrying Banai are in play, all Illusions and Phantasms are buried.

Am I the only person to notice what a huge advantage Blue has over Green? I'm not talking about Blue being a more powerful color in general - but that Blue seems to have an unbalanced number of anti-green cards, while Green comes across as a little weak in this area. Descrying Banai (or Bug-Eyed Ewoks, as they've come to be known) was my humble attempt to fill yet another MtG conceptual gap.

BIGFOOT
1GG Summon Ape 2/2
Forestwalking
Creatures with Forestwalking may be blocked by Bigfoot as if they did not have this ability.

Bigfoot is the first card I ever made (well, besides my Anna Nicole Smith card, which shall remain eternally hidden!), altho the image presented here is a slightly revamped version of that first card. The original image was that of the classic Bigfoot photo taken in the 70's, with the creature walking rapidly away from the cameraman with its head turned back towards the camera. An amazing image, whether real or fake, but I decided later to not use "real" images for my cards. I don't even have that original Bigfoot any longer, altho Bing probably still has a copy.

As for the card itself - a green card that can block Forestwalking creatures is pretty handy. I see this card becoming a staple green creature, if it were to actually be printed by WotC.

DEADWOOD

Didn't know what I wanted to do with this card, but I liked the image. If you, dear reader, come up with a card mechanic that deals with grasping, entangling, restricting creatures, let me know and I might bring out Photostyler and finish this card.

ENT MOOT
GG Summon Treefolk 0/2
GGT: all forests produce an additional G until end of turn.
"Strange songs have been sung of the forests of Fangorn" - The Two Towers

This is another card idea by Sean Lester, which I put into form. I have no idea what and "Ent Moot" is, besides that the concept was taken from a Tolkein book. I imagine an "Ent" is like a Treant from AD&D, a intelligent tree. A "moot" is a gathering, a social chat. So, we have some treefolk who get together and discuss life. Anyway, I like this card, as it turned out to be nicely balanced, IMO. You need at least 4 forests out before you even break even from this card's special ability - after that, you start "raking" in the mana.

FERTILE LANDING
1GG Interrupt
All player's life points are doubled.

As I recall, this is the very last bogus card I designed. I'd pretty much given up on the hobby, when someone suggested this card idea (sorry, don't remember the name!) I thought the idea to be workable, having more dynamic depth than might appear at first glance. While it appears to be equitable to both sides, many factors make this card potent if used intelligently. For example, what if your opponent has a quick-kill deck, while you have a slower, but more powerful deck? Such cards, those that require a little thought to use most efficiently, are my favorites, altho I have a difficult time coming up with them as card ideas.

Oh, if you put Fertile Landing and Descrying Banai beside each other, you might notice that they're from the same original image.

MAIDEN OF FROST

Destined to be my green entry into the Maiden series, the concept didn't form before I gave up the bogus card gig.

EVERGION RAIDER
GG Summon Elf 2/1
Non-Basic Landwalk

Blood Moon was, conceptually, one of my favorite cards. In MtG, the old-timers with their hordes of OOP powercards could quite easily vanquish the newbies with their depowered in-print decks. There was a niche that needed to be filled, that of a card to make the more unusual cards actually less valuable. Blood Moon filled this niche, turning all those non-basic lands into simple mountains. Evergion Raider was my Green rendition of Blood Moon. You slap a Mishra's Factory on the table, and my "Evergreen Raider" is going to politely introduce himself thru the back door.

THROAT WOLF WHELPS
G Summon Throat Wolves 0/1
Double First Strike, Bands with other Throat Wolves
Cannot be targeted by opponent's spells
Look how cute they are!

Okay, I gave in and made one "cutesy" bogus card, but how could I resist the temptation of adding to the Throat Wolf legend? In case you don't know, Throat Wolves were a running joke on the MtG newsgroups, a mythical card that you had never seen, but everyone else seemed to have at least got a glimpse of one. Extremely rare, perhaps even hand-drawn instead of mass-produced. There were several different varieties of Throat Wolves, but two things these variations always had in common: Double First Strike (they could do damage even before First Strike creatures), and a general tendancy to possess incredibly powerful special abilities while costing little (if any) mana to summon.

WEB BINDER
GG Summon Sorceress 0/2
T: target flying creature may be blocked as if it did not possess flying until end of turn.

Nothing special here, just a creature with the special ability to cast the Web effect. Thought it might be a fairly handy card to go into the Green collection.
