Ironroot Zombies
2GGBB Summon Zombies 4/6
G: Forestwalking
B: Regenerates
If you thought the regular treefolk were bad, wait 'til you meet the dead ones!

When I first started playing this quaint little game, one of my favorite decks was a green/blue zombie/treefolk themedeck. The obvious thoughts ensued - undead treefolk. Combine that with one of the best Iron Maiden album coverarts available, and you've got yourself a funky card.

Bruenor
1RRGW Summon Legend 4/5
All dwarves in play gain +1/+2 when attacking.
Any spell targeting dwarves is countered unless the caster pays an additional 1.

This card was inspired by one of my favorite fantasy images of all time, featuring a very irate dwarf that AD&D fans might recognize. Around this image, I built a "lord" card that seemed appropriate for dwarves - a legendary leader driving his troops to greater glory, along with the well-know dwarven resistance to magic. One of the last cards I created during my MtG phase, and one of the best-quality of the lot.

Morrigan
2BR Summon Succubus 2/3
Flying
2BR: Put a 2/3 flying succubus counter into play. Remove this token at the end of the turn.

I've been a fan of Street Fighter II since its release back in '90 or '91 or whenever. When the Dark Stalkers takeoff of SF2 was released, I was quite taken with the game, feeling it to be inherently superior to its predecessor in most ways. Morrigan was my obvious choice of character, as I tend to prefer the small, fast characters over large, hulking characters in such games. This card is pretty much based around a single special move of Morrigan's, in which an dual-image of Morrigan appears, teaming up to beat the holy Hell out of the opponent. That's the scoop.

Sadira
R Summon Legend 1/1
T: add 2 colorless mana to your mana pool. Treat this ability as an interrupt.

Simply put, I wanted to create a living Sol Ring. Sadira, being a living solar battary capable of channeling this energy into enormous amounts of magical energy, seemed the perfect subject of the card. Besides, I love the image!
