F3: My Job Here Is Done
As I mentioned in the previous update, I have
been searching for a worthwhile Furby fan to help me in my daily webring duties. Having found the
perfect candidate, the decision to simply offer full control of the webring to the helper was made, and
F3 is officially no longer the host of Furby Flock. Please visit
Furtropolis
to see the website worthy enuf, dedicated enuf to handle the task granted them.
Its been a fun ride, gang. I hope what scant information that F3 offered has helped or encouraged
my fellow Fuby fans along the road. Thanks for all your visits to this site! Keep the faith!
F3 Changes Direction: when I first started this page, I wanted to
create an all-encompassing stockpile of Furby information and knowledge. As time has passed, it has
become apparent that F3 just isn't the site to do that. For starters, there isn't that much Furby info
to collect - some pictures, the Furbish dictionary, a few other tidbits.... but I'm just not finding
this aspect interesting enuf to base a website on.
From now on, what F3 will officially focus on (and what it ended up doing in the first place) is the
webring. It takes all my free time keeping up with the submissions anyway, so I'm not going to bother
or worry about collecting yet another Furby snapshot, or articles on the supposed "rarity" of certain
color combinations, or other such time-consumers.
While on the subject, I'm seeking helpers to aid me in running the webring. The person needs to be
dedicated, a Furby fan, and will need some working knowledge of HTML. This is a long-term commitment, so
please don't bother asking unless you're truly serious about helping the Furby community. Send an email
to your F3 Guru and we'll discuss matters.
Read The Instructions!: I hate to keep harping on this, but
it would help me greatly if anyone who is contemplating joining the Furby Flock webring to please read thru
my instructions first. I cannot add you to the ring if your page isn't about Furby. I cannot add your site to the
ring if you don't provide me with the correct URL. And for the final time, if you don't know enuf HTML to figure
out the HTML fragment, then don't be designing webpages :)
The name.... F3. Huh? What does it mean? Don't ask me, I just work here. It probably has
something or other to do with Furby, but nobody tells me anything around here :)
