I'd been contemplating setting up a game.com ListServ for awhile now but never had the resources to do it properly. It looks like I found a solution. www.egroups.com offers a free ListServ-type service, so check it out! Do a search for "gamecom" (no dot - its not allowed!) or head right to the group's subpage. Read the instructions first please! You'll need to register before being able to subscribe to the group.
Here are two sites I wandered across that have started listing tips and secrets for Com titles. Might be worth your while taking a look, as my own trick-discovering skills are less than superb :) If, for some odd reason or other, someone would like to provide a link to the COMPENDIUM from their own website, feel free to use the regulation-size adbanner below. I'll get around to creating a "netscape now!"-sized button, but this'll hafta do for now :)
The game.com Webring is open to submissions. The procedure is fairly simple, but I'll give you a brief run-thru. The first thing you need is a website devoted to the Com. "Devoted" is the key word here - don't bother submitting to the ring if the website in question is devoted merely to gaming in general, or if the only Com-related content within the site is the page's name :) Not trying to be elitist, but I'd prefer not to see Playstation sites floating around in ComLink! Once you have a working Com page in your hands, you'll need to submit the page thru the below Submission Form. From that point, you'll receive an email notifying you of your addition to the ComLink queue, as well as informing you of your site's future ID #. Once the trusty staff at SUgcH check out your submission for Com-worthiness, we'll move the site from the queue to the ring itself. This prompts another email to be sent to you, notifying you of the official addition to the webring. Once you're an official member, you need to copy the HTML Fragment and place it within your website. This is the ComLink ringbox that lets visitors know that you're an official member, and it must be displayed somewhere on your site (most folks put it at the bottom of their main page, or have a subpage devoted specifically to webring memberships). Be sure to change any personal info denoted by "_xxx_" seperators with your personal info. This is VERY IMPORTANT - otherwise, the ringbox will not function properly for you. That's it!
