By means of this spell, the caster can magically augment a subject's bodily stamina and
endurance. Upon completion, the Constitution of the subject is temporarily raised to 20.
For the duration of the spell, all the benefits of this exceptional score are gained.
The subject gains a +2 hit point per level adjustment, +5 for warriors. System Shock and
Resurrection Survival rolls are increases to 99% and 100%, respectively, along with a +1
bonus to saving throw rolls vs poison. Finally, the subject regenerates 1 hit point per
hour.
Any damage substained during the spell's duration is removed from the bonus hit points
first. Envigoration is not cumulative with any other magic that increases one's
Constitution, nor does the spell have any effect if the subject already possesses a 20 or
higher Con score. Creatures without a defined Constitution score receive a +2 hit point
per Hit Die bonus.
Envigoration has an additional effect under special circumstances. If the subject
remains at rest and motionless, the regenerative effects are increased. For each turn of
bedrest, the subject possesses an effective Constitution of 25, regenerating 1 hit point
per turn. If at any time the subject undertakes any level of activity beyond resting, the
benefits of the spell diminish back to a Constitution of 20. The subject may resume
resting anytime during the spell's duration to regain the increased benefits.
