Material Marionette Psychokinetic Devotion
This power enables the user to animate certain materials into a man-sized drone which mimics the user’s bodily movements. The material, upon animation, takes on a roughly humanoid shape with little definition (no fingers, facial shapes). This "marionette" exactly duplicates the movements of the user, from punching to running. By performing mock actions, the user can have the marionette pick up larger items, venture into dangerous areas, or even physically fight. Due to the limited articulation of the automaton, manipulation of small items is difficult if not impossible. Combat conducted thru the marionette applies the user’s THAC0, but always at a -2 penalty to attack rolls due to the inherent difficulty of telescopic attacks. The marionette possesses AC4, and has the user’s saving throws; any mental attacks directed at the automaton are channeled to the user. It’s hit points are equal to the user’s; upon reaching 0 HP, the automaton has been disrupted to the point of disintegration, falling apart. The marionette can strike with it’s fists for 1d4 damage, or pick up weaponry to fight with. Various materials can be animated with this power, mostly such materials that are amorphous in a man-sized quantity; dirt, sand, gravel, wood shavings, and even water. Dependent upon the specific substance used to create the marionette, saving throws and other effects may be altered (water automatons cannot be burned, but are subject to freezing; etc.) |
