Gravitic Alignment allows the user to define which direction is "down" for him, whether it be to the sides, or even straight up!

This power, which is a variant application of the Project Force science, enables the user to determine from which axis gravity acts upon his person. This can be from any direction, such as along a horizontal (relative to real gravity) axis, upwards, or any diagonal direction inbetween. When the power is activated, "down" becomes the axis chosen by the user, with all the resulting consequences.

To a smart user, there are many useful applications of this power. For example, one could walk right up a castle wall to gain entry. The power can be used as a (rather speedy) form of Levitation. If the user want to get across a 50 foot chasm, he could "fall" horizontally to the opposite side. Note that "falling" is the appropriate term, as the user will arrive on the other side, having fell 50 foot and most likely suffering 5d6 damage. Gravitic Alignment does not provide any form of protection against the "falling" damage that may occur through use of this power.

The gravitic axis can be changed during the maintenance of this power, altho on the round of switching the PSP cost reverts to the higher Initial Cost. Hence, a user could walk up a wall, realign his axis to "fall" upwards, and step onto the ceiling. Only the user of this power, along with items being carried or worn, are affected by this power. Items dropped while using Gravitic Alignment will revert to their normal "down"; a user should not expect to be able to flip a coin while standing on a ceiling, and to have that coin "fall" into his hand.
